With Jelly Bean installed on almost all of the android smartphones and tablets that are being sold in stores, there is no longer any excuse for customers to have to pay through the nose just to be able to download the latest and greatest apps. Not all tablet and smartphone manufacturers have access to the Android Kit Kat compatibility settings, so this effectively means that if you want to enjoy the benefits of having games and other apps on your Android tablet or smartphone you will have to purchase a license each time you want to install a different application on your device.Īs a result of this limitation, the Nexus brand has been forced to release Jelly Bean on a much more frequent basis in order to cater to users who cannot wait for the official release of Kit Kat.
